Skills training is offered to inmates and ex-offenders to equip them with relevant skills to take up jobs upon their release and to facilitate their longer-term career development. As part of our career facilitation services, Yellow Ribbon Singapore (YRSG) conducts a series of career conversations to help inmates:
YRSG will match inmates with jobs, focusing on the job fit between their career aspirations and the requirements of available jobs. Employers are then invited to attend one-to-one virtual job interviews to assess the suitability of the inmate candidates before making the decision to hire.
Yellow Ribbon Singapore (YRSG) provides case management services to help ex-offenders address their work reintegration challenges during the initial 6 to 12 months after their release. YRSG career coaches serve as a single point of contact and collaborate closely with employers and ex-offenders to resolve any employment related issues and aftercare matters. We work with employers to encourage the adoption of supportive work practices that would help facilitate reintegration and enable ex-offenders to stay gainfully employed.
YRSG career coaches regularly check in with ex-offenders to review and conduct career planning in support of their long-term reintegration back to the community.
