Skills training is offered in 4 broad areas - Literacy, Employability, Industry and Emerging. YRSG aspires to instil a culture of lifelong learning in offenders and facilitate their skills deepening in the community, even after release.

YRSG prepares offenders for their reintegration into the national workforce by co-charting with them long term career pathways and development goals, so that they can adapt and thrive in an ever-changing job market. To help sustain gainful employment post release, Career Coaches are assigned to provide retention support for a period of up to 12 months.
